Dr. Maria Mandina Valle
I am so happy to be home, in my hometown, taking care of the people and animals I love. After veterinary school I moved to Miami where I practiced veterinary medicine for about three years. It was hectic and I learned a lot, but it was not home! I was born and raised in Vero Beach. I played in the mud at Maitland Farms, walked through the halls of St. Helen Catholic School, and then finished up at John Carroll Catholic High School before making my way to where I am now. I am old enough to remember the "good ol' Vero" days, but luckily young enough to do my part in attempting to keep it as small-feeling and personal as I can through my interactions with you and your fur babies.
I've always been drawn to the beauty of all life; caring for animals is who I am at my core. Looking into the eyes of an animal I have just helped is a truly magical experience. I was born to be a veterinarian. When I was a little girl, I didn't want dolls or barbies, I wanted Breyer horses. I didn't want to go to the park, I wanted to go ride horses and play with all the barn dogs. I was exposed to the love of animals from a very young age - my family has been breeding and raising Andalusian horses since I was young. I grew up riding and showing them, and am so grateful for the amazing life full of animals my parents gave me, as there is no better influence in this world than the unconditional, unselfish love of an animal.
My family is my world. My mother and father live here in Vero and run a medical clinic. My little sister is a psychologist here in town as well. My husband, Carlos, is my best friend and has supported me and my passion to such an extent that now it is his passion as well. God has blessed us with two amazing boys that take up all our time off, and we would not have it any other way. We also have our German Shepherd, Mia, that you may see on the truck every now and then as she thinks of herself as part of the team and begs to go to work every morning.

I was not born in Vero; Maria, my wife, introduced me to this community. After falling in love with her, I fell in love with Vero. Maria has inspired a love of veterinary medicine in me - the power that it has to change lives, to keep families together, to brighten days and create more memories, moments, and love is truly beautiful.
I bring a unique background to Fur Pet's Sake. While Maria is the veterinarian, I am everyone else in the clinic. You won't have a revolving door of employees to get to know in our hospital, it is just us. My education is in finance and my experience is in marketing. I am also very skilled with cars, which has come in handy with our hospital on wheels. I love looking at this venture with an open mind and innovative spirit. We are working to rethink how to deliver the care that pets deserve right from their very homes.
My family is my world. I am blessed to work with the love of my life, and to raise our boys together. I love classic cars, food, sports and building things with my hands. I'm passionate about technology and most of all, making sure your pet receives the care they deserve!

My love for pets started at a young age. Friends and family always knew they can count on me to help them with their animals. Once I decided I wanted to turn my passion into a career, I made it my mission to excel in school and enroll in the Veterinary Technician Program. I graduated form Georgian College in 2005 and became Registered in 2007. I have been working in small animal (with occasional equine) practice since, and even taught in the local Veterinary Technician Program at College Boreal. I currently reside with my husband, our two boys, and 3 cats in Northern Ontario.

I have always loved animals and spent much of my childhood bringing home various critters. I jumped at the chance to have a career helping animals and graduated from Ridgetown College in 2001 and became registered in 2002. I have had the opportunity to work with many great people and their pets over the years as well as a number of fun and interesting species through my externship at the Metro Toronto Zoo and my time working in Ophthalmology referral practice. My most memorable patient was a polar bear.
My husband and I reside in Southern Ontario with our 5 children. We share our home with our lazy dog, two crazy cats and a bearded dragon.
